Air New Zealand has relaxed its travel requirements.

Customers are no longer required to present proof of vaccination or a negative test to fly across the country, and passengers traveling domestically can once again enjoy the airline’s F&B service from Friday, April 15.

From May 1, 2022, the airline will remove its no jab, no fly vaccination policy for international customers.

Masks will still be mandatory on board under the orange traffic light setting for customers and employees.

“As Omicron has established itself in the community, we have put in place several temporary measures to keep our employees, our customers and New Zealand safe. After a careful risk assessment, we believe that now is the time to reverse some of these measures,” said Air New Zealand chief executive Greg Foran. “New Zealand is returning to a sense of normality. We are seeing customers returning to our home network and we have welcomed back Australians. We are aware that COVID is not behind us yet and we have taken a thoughtful and we will continue to review safety measures based on what we see here in New Zealand and around the world. I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to our customers for the support they have shown us throughout the pandemic, including while this requirement was in place.”

Air New Zealand’s domestic flexibility policy is in place until April 30, meaning customers with a booking until April 30, 2022 who no longer wish to travel can opt for a credit or change their flight without change fees.
