Former Love Island winners Millie Court and Liam Reardon have announced their separation – a year after leaving the villa.
The couple took to Instagram to confirm the news that they had ended their relationship as they moved on to ‘new chapters’ in their lives – insisting they would ‘continue to be friends’.
Millie, 25, and Liam, 22, stepped out of the Love Island villa together last year after pocketing the £50,000 prize money.
But today, just a year after they shot to fame together, they revealed they had ‘split up’ in a touching Instagram post.
While it came as a shock to many Millie and Liam fans, others admitted they spotted a number of signs they were planning to go their separate ways MONTHS ago.
It came as the pair had rarely been seen together since the start of the year – having often been spotted separately in different countries.
The pair were last seen together at a pal’s wedding in Portugal three weeks ago, where they posed together for some romantic snaps.
It was the first time the couple had traveled together since their brief weekend in Paris, after rumors began to swell that the pair had split in April.
Their Paris weekend marked the first trip the couple have taken together since vacationing in the Maldives in January.
Prior to their trip to Portugal, they had only been pictured together on social media during brief moments together in April and June.
Although they kept fans updated when they visited Dubai in December 2021, the pair have started posting less frequently.
Instead, the former couple had been heading to a number of destinations SEPARATELY over the past few months, spending weeks apart.
In May, Millie went on a girls’ holiday with her former Love Island co-stars in Ibiza, including Liberty Poole and Kaz Kamwi.
She could be seen posing on a diving board after arriving at the sunny destination – showing off her body in a bikini.
Millie had already headed to the sunny destination alongside Lucinda Strafford before returning for a second trip.

Meanwhile, Liam was seen hiking with his friend in Wales as the pair remained separated for over a MONTH.
It came shortly after they spent six weeks apart – as Millie flew to Los Angeles for photo shoots, further fueling the shared rumours.
Millie also attended a fashion launch event with fellow islander Lucinda – but her beau Liam was nowhere to be found.
Other eagle-eye fans think they broke up because they noticed Liam recently followed a string of models and influencers online.
Fans also referenced Liam’s comments on the Heat Podcastwhere he said he had “nothing to wake up to” after winning Love Island with Millie.
“I was placed in Essex with no family or friends. Obviously I’m with Millie, which is fine… I would wake up, but I have nothing to wake up to,’ he said.

Millie and Liam announced their separation in an emotional Instagram post, insisting to their fans that they will remain “friends”.
Millie wrote: “It’s been a tough decision and I’m disgusted, but it’s ultimately what’s best for us right now. Thank you to each and every one of you for supporting our relationship.
“Nothing will ever take away from the incredible experience we shared at Love Island and last year and I wish Liam all the best in all he does.
“We’re both ready for new chapters and I can’t wait for what’s next. Love you, Millie.”
A source has now told the Mail that the couple had been separated for some time.
They said: “It was very difficult for Millie and Liam to make this decision, but after weeks apart they came to the conclusion that it was the best thing for both of them.
“There was no drama or wrongdoing and they still fully support each other and will remain close friends.”
Shortly after Millie and Liam announced their split today, dozens of fans took to Twitter to say they were ‘not surprised’ – due to how long they had been apart.
“Am I the only one who isn’t surprised that Millie and Liam broke up?” a fan wrote on Twitter.
Another said: ‘Millie and Liam’s breakup was the most predictable shit ever’, while a third added: ‘I’m not surprised to be honest.
