Nowadays, the level of migration is constantly increasing. There are different factors that compel people to migrate or to have a second nationality. These are the wars, the low standard of living, the search for a better life, business, investment opportunities, family, etc.

However, another factor that we can include in the list is people’s desire to travel more freely. Passports from several countries around the world really facilitate visa-free access. In this regard, it is worth having an overview of the country passport index.

The Henley Passport Index is the original and authoritative ranking of all passports in the world according to the number of destinations their holders can access without a prior visa. It started in 2006 as the Henley and Partners Visa Restrictions Index and was modified and renamed in January 2018. The site provides a ranking of 199 passports around the world based on the number of countries their holders can travel to without a visa. . The number of countries a specific passport can access becomes its visa-free score. The index is based on proprietary data from the International Air Transport Association.

Recently, Henley and Partners presented Passport Index results for the third quarter of 2022.

Japan ranked first, its citizens being able to travel to 193 destinations without needing to apply for a visa. Singapore and South Korea rank second with 192 visa-free destinations, followed by Germany and Spain with 190 destinations.

In recent years, Azerbaijan has cooperated closely with different countries of the world to develop ties.
