SINGAPORE, April 1, 2022: Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation, branded Visit Maldives, is partnering with Pacific World Travel to launch an e-learning program for travel agents in Southeast Asia.
The program runs until March 28, 2023 and utilizes Pacific World Travel’s sales and marketing network throughout Southeast Asia.
The joint e-learning program will promote the Maldives as a preferred and safe tourist destination targeting the Southeast Asian outbound travel market.
A dedicated website offers e-learning sessions featuring the latest information on the Maldives for travel professionals recruited from Pacific World Travel’s network of tour operators and travel agents.
More than 600 Pacific World Travel-related travel partners will participate in the initial program, with reach expanding to more than 3,000 travel partners over one year.
The e-learning program consists of three modules, with the first module covering basic destination information, followed by module two focusing on identifying and presenting the selling points of the destination. On the other hand, the last module covers the latest travel guidelines, Covid-19 measures and updates.
The Maldives has also eased travel restrictions to allow visitors to enter the country without showing a negative Covid-19 PCR result on arrival as long as travelers are fully immunized.
