United Airlines has expanded its schedule to make it easier to attend CES 2022 in Las Vegas.

The airline has added 14 new direct flights between Las Vegas and San Jose, California, Boston, Fort Lauderdale and Orlando, and also adds 30 flights from its hub airports in San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York / Newark and Washington DC / Dulles .

The additional flights represent a 37% increase in capacity over United’s usual January schedule to Las Vegas.

CES 2022, one of the biggest tech events in the world, will take place from January 5 to 8, 2022.

CES 2022 will take place in Las Vegas January 5-8

“The return of conferences and in-person events is a very positive sign of the recovery from a pandemic, and United is uniquely positioned to capitalize on this increase in demand,” said Ankit Gupta, senior vice president of the domestic and United Express planning. “We’re adding about 80% of the capacity we created for CES in 2020, demonstrating that business travel is rebounding and our customers are eager to reconnect with customers and colleagues. “

United Airlines reported that between October 27 and November 9, 2021, searches for flights to Las Vegas during CES 2022 increased by 70% compared to the previous two-week period.

And, according to a recent survey of United’s corporate customers, nearly 20% say they expect travel to meetings and conferences in 2022 to exceed pre-pandemic levels.

United will offer 81 flights to Las Vegas on peak arrival days January 3-4 and 109 flights on peak departure days January 8-10.
